"What does it mean to be instantly transformed into the most hated person in your own community? After meeting Fidel Castro at a Havana reception, Cuban-born Magda Montiel Davis, founder of one of the largest immigration law firms in South Florida, soon found out. The reception-attended by hundreds of other Cuban émigrés-was videotaped "for historical archives only." In a seconds-long clip, Fidel pecks the traditional protocol kiss on Magda's cheek and, based on Magda's many years of travel to the homeland, she thanks Fidel for the social benefits conferred upon the Cuban people. The video was sold to U.S. reporters and aired incessantly throughout South Florida, and the Magda-Fidel encounter tentacled as far as the international media, which promptly put an end to a free life for Magda and her family, including a father who worked with the CIA to topple Fidel, a no-hablo-inglés mother who lived with Magda, her five children, and Brooklyn-born husband, now known as Magdo. Forced to live under siege with the supposed protection of private bodyguards, Miami police, and FBI, Kissing Fidel shares the sometimes dismal, sometimes comical realities of an ordinary citizen being thrown into a world of death threats, mob attacks, and even drawings of Magda and Fidel in every imaginable Kama Sutra position"--

Every form of Life has originated from the molecules of Water-Droplets. And the Species of Fishes were the first Species to represent the Form of Life on Planet Earth. Even From being very First Creature [Fishes] on Earth there is Expression Love and faith to meet Each other. The story of the "KISSING OSCAR" pairs revels the extraordinary journey of True Dedicated Love over 12,400 miles. Parallel Line and True Love meets at "Infinity." It can be easily inferred that the feeling of Love, Care and Dedication is flowing from the very first Species of Planet Earth. It also exists in all other Species found on Earth including Human Beings. But among the Human Being the Feeling of Love has become very less and feeble due to acquisitive Temperament, Greed, Hate; Cheating has become a regular phenomenon of Human Behavior. At last the story expresses the message of foundation quality of Human Being "The Kindness." The absolute demolition of all our Plutocratic ego-hunger and Lavish Demands by ourselves. Only we can stop the terrorization to Environment and Various Species. Only we can endorse pro-active steps to rebuild the damaged turn out to Environment. Our nature of exploration against environment limits must be strictly stopped. Let stop Humanity to change to hobgoblin. Let the Scientific Explorations be a Gentlemen's portfolio not Gladiator's Arena where one among two warriors has to die. Any Species turns extinct due to our passionate spirit of being a predator inside the envelope of Scientific Expeditions. The identity has been kept secret of "KISSING OSCAR" Pair and it is presented as a glass sealed motivating Fairy tale, so that it can infer it's message to maximum without being affected by any Exposure of superfluous Scientific Expeditions.

Twelve-year-old Rosie Goldglitt is a never-been-kissed, hopeless romantic. Her mother has a new boyfriend. So why can't Rosie attract the attentions of the cutest boy in the seventh grade, Robbie Romano? Is it because she's two inches taller than he is? Is it her horrible name? Or is she simply a dork? If only she could be more like her rival, the perfect and popular Mary Katz, then maybe Robbie would notice her. As Rosie navigates the ups and downs of adolescence, she eagerly anticipates the experience of a first kiss - when she's not completely grossed out at the thought of it. But by the time the big dance rolls around, Rosie manages to surprise herself, in more ways than one. This perceptive and funny story captures the bittersweetness and euphoria of growing up, the messiness of having a crush, and how sometimes the most unexpected things in life are the most enjoyable.

Pioneering novelist and short-story writer Nicholasa Mohr broke onto the literary scene of ethnic autobiography in the early 1970s, but it took another decade for other Puerto Rican women writers in the United States to follow the path that she cut. From the late 1970s on, a dynamic group of these writers have expanded the landscape of American literature. Kissing the Mango Tree is the first and only book to examine the works of the most popular Puerto Rican women writers from the perspective of feminist literary criticism. Rivera reconstructs the ethno-feminist aesthetic of Judith Ortiz Cofer, Sandra María Esteves, Nicholasa Mohr, Aurora Levins Morales, Rosario Morales, Esmeralda Santiago, and Luz María Umpierre-Herrera. In separate chapters dedicated to each of these writers, the author locates their works within the framework of feminist theory and literature, seeing them as "women with macho asserting their creative powers to record their own versions of their memories, to own their own bodies. . . They transform the way we look at the process of growing up and becoming a woman, at the relationship with our mothers and our daughters, at the fluidity of our lives, at our notions of nationhood . . ." This groundbreaking study is accompanied by a complete bibliography of the six writers' works and secondary sources of feminist, Latino, and ethno-poetic criticism and theory.

Psychotherapist Adam Phillips focuses on a variety of subjects rarely investigated by psychoanalysis--such things as kissing, worrying, risk, and solitude. Phillips rejects the common notion that only the examined life is worth living, asserting that one's psychic health depends on establishing a realm of life that successfully resists interpretation.
